About the Instructor

Hi, I'm Alyssa Thooft

  • Mom
  • Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • Registered Dietitian
I have spent over a decade supporting women in breastfeeding and nutrition. I’m the founder of Lactation with Alyssa, my private practice rooted in a rural Minnesota community where I live with my husband, an engineer, and our three children. I provide in-home visits locally and virtual support to mothers across the U.S. I am blessed to walk alongside mothers in some of their most vulnerable and powerful moments.
And here's what I know:
Most moms don't struggle with breastfeeding because they aren't capable. They struggle because no one showed them what to expect.
Breastfeeding is natural, but it isn't always intuitive.
I believe moms deserve clear guidance, calm reassurance, and a solid understanding of what to expect with breastfeeding. That's why I created Breastfeeding Foundations: Building a Confident Start in the First 2 Weeks.

Pregnant women love it
